Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info — your email address and password hash so you can sign in.
• Profile info — your display name, handle, bio, avatar, credits, and any preferences you set for discovery.
• Booking data — session times, briefs, messages between participants, split-sheet contributions, and session status.
• Payment info — payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers. We store a Stripe customer id and the summary information Stripe returns (last-four, subscription status, amounts, and refund state).
• Product analytics — we use PostHog to understand how people use the product. Events are keyed to a random user id; we do not put your email, name, or other personal identifiers into analytics event properties.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
• We do not read the content of private messages except when investigating a report.

Cookies

Cowriter uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in and to remember your product-analytics identifier. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing privacy@cowriter.xyz. We will respond within a reasonable time and delete data we are not required to keep for tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
